Summary
The Operations Associate is responsible for maintaining inventory levels, organizing the stockroom, receiving shipments and ensuring merchandise is properly stocked on the sales floor to support smooth store operations in the SoHo location.
Responsibilities
- Receive and unload shipments and verify accuracy against invoices
- Organize and store inventory in stockrooms with proper labeling and placement
- Replenish merchandise on the sales floor to maintain stock levels
- Assist with inventory counts and loss prevention measures
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom free of hazards
- Follow procedures for handling damaged or defective merchandise
- Work with sales associates and managers to fulfill stock requests
- Monitor product availability and restock needs
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in retail operations or a related role
- Previous retail, warehouse or stockroom experience preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Team player with good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office including Excel
- Flexible availability including weekends holidays and early or late shifts
