Summary
Operations Manager responsible for overseeing all back of house functions and operational processes at a luxury boutique to ensure efficiency, inventory accuracy, and alignment with brand standards. Role includes managing stockroom staff including Stock Supervisor, Tailors, and Stock Keepers and partnering with store leadership and corporate teams to drive operational initiatives. Requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays and a focus on loss prevention and client experience support.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all back of house operations including receiving, processing, replenishment, transfers, and returns to vendor.
- Manage daily stockroom activities and ensure timely movement of merchandise to the sales floor.
- Lead, coach, and develop Stock Supervisor, Tailors, and Stock Keepers and manage staffing and scheduling.
- Prepare for and execute inventory counts and monitor stock discrepancies and unknown markdowns.
- Ensure compliance with loss prevention policies and maintain a secure stockroom environment.
- Review and validate receiving documentation, deliveries, and outgoing shipments.
- Coordinate facilities maintenance, supplies, packaging, and vendor orders for operational needs.
- Support special events, visual installations, tailoring workflow, and boutique projects as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of luxury retail operations experience with team leadership.
- Strong understanding of stockroom operations, inventory control, and merchandise flow.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast paced retail environment.
- Strong problem solving skills with a proactive solution oriented mindset.
- Flexible schedule availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience partnering with corporate teams on audits and process improvements.
