Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth administrative and operational functions of the store, including shipping and receiving, stock room, cash office, repairs, and inventory controls. This role manages store operations to support selling activities and executes company initiatives while liaising with corporate partners for finance, facilities, and systems support.
Responsibilities
- Manage shipping and receiving and ensure timely processing of incoming and outgoing merchandise
- Oversee stock room, inventory accuracy, alterations, call center, and celebrity loans
- Control store budgets and controllable expenses and coordinate with corporate finance
- Negotiate vendor contracts and process bills for payment with proper allocation
- Maintain and coordinate repair, replacement and updates of store systems with corporate
- Assess and address store interior and exterior presentation, repairs and safety issues
- Lead teams to deliver an elevated customer experience and support connected retail initiatives
- Drive operational efficiencies and project completion to support selling ceremony
- Lead inventory management processes including buy back, transfers, BOSS, MOS, BOPIS and SOTF
Requirements
- Relevant retail operations experience preferred
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Workday and Outlook preferred
- Ability to maneuver sales floor and stock areas, lift up to 30 lbs and use ladders per safety guidelines
- Demonstrated leadership ability to develop relationships and motivate teams toward profitability
- Strong project management experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to align operational goals with business objectives
