Summary
The Operations Manager oversees day-to-day boutique operations to ensure compliance, operational excellence, inventory control, financial accuracy, and a seamless client experience. This role leads and develops the Operations team, implements policies and procedures, and partners with boutique management and regional leadership to drive performance against KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Ensure execution of Maison policies and efficient opening and closing procedures
- Oversee movement of product including shipments, transfers, consignments, and in-boutique handling
- Maintain quality control, packing, shipping, and receiving procedures for high value items
- Manage financial transaction accuracy and timely submission of paperwork
- Oversee inventory control processes and lead annual inventory success
- Monitor and control boutique operating costs and resource allocation
- Lead boutique audits and implement corrective action plans
- Drive adoption of new operational tools and support rollouts and training
- Implement Lean/5S strategies for optimal storage and organization
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a business related field
- 5 years of operations management experience in luxury retail environment
- Experience leading leaders and managing direct reports
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including advanced Excel; SAP knowledge preferred
- Availability to work retail hours including evenings and weekends and travel as needed
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and talent development abilities
