Summary
Lead development and implementation of national environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance and advance sustainability goals. Collaborate with cross functional teams and external partners to manage environmental strategy, reporting, and risk mitigation while driving continuous improvement across operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage national environmental programs including sustainability waste reduction and emissions control
- Establish long term environmental goals and performance metrics
- Lead cross functional teams to implement environmental initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local environmental regulations
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess operational impacts
- Prepare and submit required environmental reports and documentation
- Serve as primary contact for agencies NGOs and community groups on environmental matters
- Collect analyze and report environmental data and develop dashboards
- Identify environmental risks and lead incident investigations and corrective actions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science Sustainability Engineering or related field Master’s preferred
- 5+ years of experience in environmental program management in a national or multi site capacity
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks
- Proven leadership and project management skills
- Excellent communication analytical and problem solving abilities
- Experience with environmental management systems such as ISO 14001 is a plus
- Certification in environmental management such as CHMM REM or LEED preferred
- Experience with carbon footprint analysis climate action planning or ESG reporting is desirable
