Receiving Support Associate - Short Hills

Summary

Supports the store receiving operations by receiving, unpacking, inspecting, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor and stockroom. Ensures accurate documentation of incoming shipments and reports shortages or damages. Maintains a safe, organized receiving area and assists with inventory activities.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments and verify contents against packing lists.
• Unpack, tag, and prepare merchandise for stocking or sales floor placement.
• Move merchandise between the receiving area, stockroom, and sales floor safely and efficiently.
• Operate material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the receiving area.
• Assist with inventory counts and documentation as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail receiving, stock, or warehouse roles preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy packages and stand for extended periods.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail for counting and verifying shipments.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
