Summary

The Retail Salesperson is passionate about fashion and styling and is responsible for cultivating and growing a customer following both digitally and in-store. They set and achieve sales goals using selling tools such as text and social media and provide styling and fit advice with confidence. The role also supports the department through merchandising, stocking, price markdowns, order fulfillment and occasional cross-department work.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels using selling tools such as text and social media
• Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers and grow Nordstrom Rewards accounts
• Provide honest and confident feedback to customers about style and fit
• Fill orders, stock merchandise, re-merchandise displays and execute price markdowns
• Maintain a customer-ready department including light cleaning and organization
• Occasionally perform duties in departments other than the one hired into as business needs require

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer focus
• Self-motivated, goal oriented and able to use networking and technology to drive sales
• Ability to work effectively in a team and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
• Physical ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift and lift items regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
