Summary

The Retail Sales associate for Kids' Apparel & Shoes cultivates and grows customer relationships both in-store and through digital channels, meets sales goals, and provides confident styling and fit guidance. The role also supports merchandising and operational tasks to keep the department customer-ready and may occasionally perform duties in other departments.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals through in-store and digital selling, using tools such as text and social media
• Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers and grow Nordstrom Rewards accounts
• Provide styling advice and honest feedback on fit to deliver excellent customer service
• Support department operations including filling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns, and light cleaning
• Collaborate with the team and be flexible to perform duties in other departments as needed

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a self-motivated, goal-oriented approach
• Interest and ability to use networking and technology for sales; ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment
• Flexible availability to work varying schedules based on business needs
• Physical ability to be active for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and regular lifting up to 10 pounds (occasionally up to 25 pounds)
