Summary

The Salesperson is passionate about fashion and styling and cultivates a customer following both in-store and digitally. This role focuses on meeting sales goals through personalized service, styling advice, and effective use of selling tools including text and social media. The salesperson supports a customer-ready department through merchandising, order fulfillment, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for both in-store and digital selling using available selling tools.
• Build and maintain lasting customer relationships and open Nordstrom Rewards accounts.
• Provide confident, honest styling and fit advice to customers.
• Use text and social media to engage customers and grow business.
• Keep the department customer-ready by filling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, and performing light cleaning.
• Participate in price markdowns and routine merchandising tasks.
• Be flexible to perform duties in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to use networking and technology to drive sales.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping and manipulation and ability to handle bulky items.
• Regularly lift items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
