Summary

The Retail Sales associate delivers personalized styling and exceptional customer service to build and grow a customer following both in-store and digitally. The role uses selling tools including text and social media to meet sales goals while maintaining department appearance and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals through in-store and digital selling using selling tools such as text and social media
• Cultivate and grow lasting relationships with customers and assist in opening Nordstrom Rewards accounts
• Provide honest styling advice and confident feedback on fit and product selection
• Fill orders, stock merchandise, re-merchandise, perform price markdowns, and maintain a customer-ready department
• Assist customers across departments as needed and support the team to meet business needs

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset
• Self-motivated, goal oriented, and able to use networking and technology to achieve sales targets
• Ability to work effectively in a team and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible availability to work variable schedules and occasionally perform duties in other departments
• Physically able to move continuously for 6-8 hours, bend, reach, and lift items up to 25 pounds
