Summary

Responsible for receiving, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments and fulfilling customer orders while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting store operations. Works independently in a fast paced environment and uses technology to process shipments and manage inventory. Performs physical tasks including lifting, moving and organizing stockroom and sales floor items.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload freight and unpack merchandise for distribution to selling departments
• Fulfill customer orders and prepare items for shipment following packing and shipping standards
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan and process merchandise shipments
• Research shipment discrepancies in accordance with inventory control processes
• Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
• Support store events, markdowns and fixture relocations
• Handle and move bulky or awkwardly shaped items and perform frequent lifting

Requirements

• Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable using a variety of technology and computer applications
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
• Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift with frequent bending and reaching
• Capacity to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
