Summary
The Sales Associate develops deep, long lasting relationships with customers to drive sales, service, and loyalty in a luxury menswear environment. Compensation is commission-based and tied to sales performance. The role requires delivering exceptional customer service, building a personal client base, and supporting in-store merchandising and events.
Responsibilities
- Consistently deliver extraordinary service to all customers
- Exceed sales and service goals and targets
- Acquire new customers and develop and retain existing clients to build a loyal personal client base
- Attend product knowledge and vendor training sessions and retailer seminars
- Perform floor recovery, visual merchandising, price changes, and sales support tasks
- Communicate regularly with clients via phone, mail, and electronic methods about events and merchandise
- Resolve customer service issues and escalate to selling management when required
- Comply with health and safety policies and privacy and cyber security measures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a commission-based luxury sales environment
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales quotas
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Collaborative team orientation and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to leverage social media to promote personal brand and client engagement
- Skilled using multiple technology channels to acquire and maintain client relationships
- Strong understanding of current and emerging fashion trends
- Broad product knowledge across store merchandise categories
- Proactive about staying informed on new merchandise to maximize selling potential
