Sales Audit Analyst - Midtown Manhattan

Summary

The Sales Audit Analyst is a seasonal six month role responsible for reconciling sales, bank, and general ledger accounts across entities in the Americas. The role investigates tender variances, verifies credit card processor statements to bank deposits, records payments in the general ledger, and supports internal and external audit requests while partnering with retail and corporate teams. The position is hourly and onsite four days per week at the corporate office in Midtown Manhattan.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and reconcile freestanding and lease department store accounts
• Investigate tender variances and escalate IT issues through ticket submission
• Execute monthly closing procedures and prepare journal entries
• Perform general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy
• Manage SAP account aging and clearing processes
• Apply intercompany payments per procedures
• Conduct receivable and fee analysis to identify trends and discrepancies
• Invoice internal and external customers accurately and efficiently
• Provide audit documentation and file evidence for chargeback claims

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant finance experience
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Deadline oriented with ability to support audit requests
• Proficiency in Excel is required
• Proficiency in SAP is required
• Experience performing reconciliations and journal entry preparation
• Ability to generate ad hoc reports and contribute to special projects
