Summary
The Sales Manager will lead the showroom sales team, acting as the link between sales, operations, and clients to deliver exceptional client service while achieving business objectives. This role is responsible for planning and executing the floor and showroom business plan, managing costs and controls within budget, and coaching the team to meet performance targets. The manager will maintain and improve operating processes, represent the showroom internally and externally, and drive sales through strategic and entrepreneurial problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, development, and performance management.
- Plan and execute floor and showroom business plans to achieve floor sales KPIs and profit targets.
- Maintain costs, discounts, and controls within budget and identify efficiency improvements.
- Participate in complex sales requiring negotiation and problem solving; assist clients as needed.
- Support showroom recruitment, retention, training, and run floor/showroom training sessions and meetings.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and perform opening and closing procedures.
- Conduct competitor analysis, represent the showroom at meetings, and undertake business-related travel as required.
- Receive and deliver client repairs and size timepieces when necessary.
Requirements
- Retail management experience, ideally within a luxury environment, with proven sales and management achievements.
- Jewelry or timepiece product knowledge and comfort working with high price points.
- Advanced selling and negotiation skills and a demonstrable track record of meeting sales targets.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate teams; strong customer service focus.
- Numerate with ability to analyze sales performance and manage operating costs.
- IT literate with proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office; able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume location.
