Summary
Supervise the sales floor to ensure a consistent memorable customer shopping experience using high standards of service while building client relationships and supporting store leadership and culture. Partner with managers to learn leadership responsibilities and positively influence the store team through coaching and task management.
Responsibilities
- Provide coaching and one-on-one feedback to develop sales associates.
- Support and promote business initiatives and training tools to the sales team.
- Uphold customer service and visual presentation standards on the sales floor.
- Build and maintain clientele through social engagement and relationship skills.
- Perform opening and closing procedures and process returns and exchanges when managers are absent.
- Assist with merchandise maintenance, stock transfers, folding, and floor changeovers.
- Use product knowledge and selling tools to meet and exceed personal sales and SPH goals.
- Manage task trackers and communicate task follow-up with management and associates.
- Support managers in mentoring and coaching the sales team to expand clientele and maximize sales.
Requirements
- Relevant retail experience preferred and demonstrated enthusiasm for brand presentation.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and develop staff through coaching and teamwork.
- Analytical and financial acumen with preferred computer skills in Word Excel PowerPoint Workday and Outlook.
- Ability to operate a register and remain on feet for multiple hours.
- Ability to maneuver around the sales floor and stock areas and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Willingness to follow health and safety guidelines including ladder use as trained.
