Security Guard

Summary

The Store Security Agent is responsible for ensuring the safety of clients, employees, and high-value inventory in a luxury retail environment. This role monitors CCTV and access control, enforces security protocols, and responds to incidents while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The agent reports to the Store Security Supervisor or Store Operations Manager and works assigned shifts including evenings weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Activate and deactivate the premise alarm system as required
• Manage access control including signing in vendors and non-store employees and handling security fobs
• Receive and process incoming packages under CCTV surveillance following security protocols
• Monitor CCTV feeds and identify security breaches or technical issues and report them
• Maintain visual security over back of house elevators and client restrooms
• Coordinate via radio between the sales floor and the CCTV room
• Conduct security inspections using a wand or metal detector for empty boxes and garbage
• Escort clients and visitors to secure areas while maintaining strict security protocols

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in retail loss prevention security or law enforcement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with security software and surveillance systems
• Strong investigative and audit skills with a proactive approach to security risks
• Ability to work assigned shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
• High ethical standards and adherence to internal policies and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with teams supervisors and clients
