Summary
Lead a team within the Selling Control and Pricing Engineering organization to ensure item availability and selling business rules enable customers to purchase products. Drive technical strategy for availability modernization, shape an AI powered diagnostics roadmap, partner with cross functional stakeholders, and maintain operational excellence for high throughput production systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of engineers responsible for selling business rules and item availability systems
- Own roadmap and technical strategy for availability modernization initiatives
- Shape and deliver an AI powered item diagnostics product for real time troubleshooting and remediation
- Partner with Product Merchandising and Operations to translate business needs into scalable solutions
- Manage dependencies across peer teams such as pricing offers and selling runtime
- Ensure operational excellence including SLAs incident response and continuous improvement
- Contribute to architecture decisions and maintain hands on awareness of system health
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience building distributed systems at scale
- 3+ years leading engineering teams experience managing managers is a plus
- Proven track record shipping high throughput high availability production systems
- Experience with cloud infrastructure AWS preferred microservices and event driven architectures
- Familiarity with AI ML concepts bonus for shipping AI powered products or working with LLMs
- Strong DevOps practices including CI CD observability alerting and incident management
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Computer Science Data Science or related experience required
