Job Description

Summary

The Sr. Manager Product Management – Supply Chain Technology is a key member of the Nordstrom Product Management team, responsible for setting the vision and driving the technical capabilities that power our fulfillment, distribution, and transportation network. This role partners closely with leaders across Supply chain operations, stores, merchandising, industrial engineering, and software engineering to drive the future of Nordstrom’s Supply Chain fulfillment and Transportation network.

Responsibilities
  • Develops and manages supply chain product strategies with the product management team.
  • Ensures alignment on priorities and direction by partnering with other groups, stakeholders and leaders.
  • Partners with UX, Research, and Engineering on feature design and development.
  • Develops prototypes and proof of concepts where appropriate.
  • Develops a/b testing plan with analytics where appropriate.
  • Drives ownership of features and services throughout the product lifecycle for our cross-channel customer experiences.
  • Collaborates with peers and leaders across the enterprise to solicit needs, define vision and ensure outcomes align with enterprise priorities and goals.
  • Hires and develops an efficient and effective team that meets the needs of the product management strategies.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of available technologies and apply technology solutions, where appropriate, to improve efficiency and ultimately benefit the customer.
  • Evaluates our processes and provides input into driving better ways of working within product management and cross-functionally.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience with 3+ years of management experience, specifically in product management with technology or ecommerce company preferred.
  • Experience “inside the four walls” of fulfillment or distribution centers, preferably with experience building and integrating warehouse management systems and/or transportation systems.
  • Ability to operate within ambiguity and drive alignment across organizations.
  • Experience with domain driven design and working backwards product methodologies.
  • Ability to inspire others, including demonstrated experience managing and leading strong teams.
  • Ability to define, measure and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills both up and down the organizational hierarchy.
