Summary
The Senior Operations Controller oversees an efficient stockroom and daily operations to ensure accurate inventory and support exceptional client service. This role executes shipping and receiving, manages merchandise movement and reconciliation, and supports the selling team and store projects as needed.
Responsibilities
- Execute shipping and receiving processes and report issues to Store Director or Operations Manager
- Manage timely movement of merchandise including transfers, returns to vendor, and damages
- Oversee store cycle counts, scheduled inventories, and reconciliation efforts
- Print and ticket merchandise and process returns and price adjustments
- Process repairs and damages according to company guidelines
- Pack, handle, and store merchandise following company standards
- Assist with physical maintenance of the boutique and support store initiatives
- Develop ideas to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Support the selling process to ensure a high level of client experience
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years retail experience; luxury or contemporary preferred
- Supervisory experience is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze information, identify priorities, and solve problems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with internal retail systems and shipping software
- Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting, bending, and climbing
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Team player attitude with high degree of integrity
