Experienced construction project manager responsible for overseeing high-end retail store construction from concept through turnover, ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and schedule targets while coordinating architects, designers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee retail construction projects from preconstruction through close-out
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost reports
- Coordinate with architects, designers, engineers, contractors, and vendors
- Review shop drawings for compliance with design intent and constructability
- Manage permits inspections and ensure compliance with local building codes
- Prepare and manage budgets change orders and payment applications
- Solicit and level bids negotiate pricing and recommend contractors
- Ensure workmanship meets luxury retail standards and enforce on-site safety
- Manage punch lists warranties and project turnover to facilities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management engineering architecture or related field or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience managing construction projects preferably high-end retail or hospitality
- Strong knowledge of construction methods building codes and luxury finishes
- Proficiency with project management software such as MS Project Procore or Primavera
- Proficiency with P2P software such as SAP or similar
- Excellent communication negotiation and leadership skills
- Ability to travel for site visits and meetings
- Attention to detail and ability to manage complex schedules and tight deadlines
