Server

Summary

The Server is responsible for taking and delivering food orders and ensuring an excellent guest experience within the store's food service operation. The role requires accurately recording and relaying orders to the kitchen, recommending menu and beverage pairings, and supporting overall guest satisfaction. The Server works closely with kitchen and bar staff and escalates issues to management when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Confirm daily specials and provide detailed information on ingredients as required
• Record clients’ choices and relay orders to the kitchen
• Recall orders accurately and deliver correct food items to clients
• Ensure client satisfaction with meals and graciously handle service interactions
• Recommend wine and beverage pairings and suggest side dishes and desserts to up-sell
• Refer difficult customer service issues to the Manager or Executive Chef
• Comply with all Health & Safety policies and requirements

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 2-3 years previous experience in a similar capacity
• Fully bilingual in French and English
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow health and safety procedures
