Summary
The Specialized Operations Associate supports daily General Office operations and the operational functions of the Jewelry Department under the Assistant General Manager, Operations. This role handles cash procedures, administrative tasks, jewelry receiving and processing, communications with corporate and vendors, and assists the sales floor and audit readiness as needed.
Responsibilities
- Open the store including safe controller and registers and distribute reports
- Perform morning cash entry, bank deposits, chargeback reconciliation, and petty cash counts
- Receive verify and book jewelry per company standards and process re tickets RTVs transfers and ASN shipments
- Manage case counts reconcile discrepancies and maintain repair logs and invoices
- Prepare special order requests statements of sale and process fulfillment orders
- Support trunk show set up take down and verify merchandise for events
- Communicate with Corporate Merchants Accounts Payable Inventory Control and vendors
- Maintain internal audit readiness monitor vault and safe contents and adhere to audit standards
- Assist managers and associates on the selling floor and perform ad hoc responsibilities
Requirements
- Strong computer skills including Google and MS Office and ability to adapt to changing technology
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs climb ladders and handle racks and carts of merchandise
- Effective verbal and written communication and professional telephone and face to face interactions
- Ability to multi task work in a fast paced team oriented environment and follow store policies and procedures
- Attention to detail and maintain organized personal workspace and confidentiality
- Flexible schedule availability to meet business needs and dependability standards
- Ability to evaluate progress against performance drivers and support operational objectives
