Summary
Senior engineering leader responsible for defining strategy and managing the roadmap for HR technology systems. Owns technical solutions and leads a team of software engineers to design, deploy, and maintain reliable scalable HR systems while partnering with product and program teams to deliver business value.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of software engineers building HR systems.
- Define technical strategy and drive the roadmap for HR technology and integrations.
- Provide technical direction including architecture, coding, testing, deployment and operations.
- Partner with Program Product and Business teams to set goals and OKRs.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
- Lead cross functional projects end to end including planning resource and execution.
- Recruit hire and develop talent and create growth plans for engineers.
- Manage complex multi track scopes and ensure reliable delivery in a DevOps model.
- Communicate directly with leadership and stakeholders on progress and decisions.
Requirements
- BA BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years professional software development experience.
- 5+ years leading and developing engineering teams.
- Experience building solutions in an agile environment and full stack cloud based systems.
- Experience with AWS containerization Docker Kubernetes and streaming technologies such as Kafka.
- Familiarity with tech stacks such as .Net Core Java Python and Javascript React.
- Proven track record of leading large cross functional software projects and operating business critical systems.
- Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies and using KPIs to measure impact.
- Experience with Workday HCM or similar preferred.
