Sr. Technical Program Manager, Platform & Data

Summary

Join Nordstrom’s Platform and Data organization as a Senior Technical Program Manager on the Insights Delivery team, leading AI-first metric definition, data governance, and data quality programs. You will partner with data engineering, analytics, product, and business leaders to embed governance into data platforms and workflows and scale an enterprise data governance operating model. The role focuses on driving roadmaps, dependencies, adoption, and executive reporting to deliver trusted data for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Scale and mature Nordstrom’s enterprise data governance operating model, including metric standardization and data quality programs.
• Own roadmaps, timelines, dependencies, and delivery across governance initiatives, surfacing risks and trade-offs early.
• Partner with product, engineering, data platform, analytics, and business leaders to embed governance into end-to-end data lifecycle workflows and tools.
• Lead change through workshops, clear communications, and enablement to drive adoption and accountability.
• Support executive operating rhythms and translate program status into narratives for senior leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years of technical program management experience focused on data engineering, analytics, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience delivering complex, cross-functional programs in a matrixed organization and influencing senior leaders.
• Strong executive communication and storytelling skills; ability to translate technical status into business impact.
• Working knowledge of SQL; familiarity with Python, R, modern data platforms (GCP, Databricks, Azure) and data cataloging tools is a plus; PMP/Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus.
