Tailor - Century City

Summary

As a Tailor at Century City, you will perform expert garment alterations to ensure exceptional fit and finish for customers. You will work closely with store management and sales associates to deliver precise, timely adjustments while maintaining a well-organized tailor shop. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail will enhance the in-store customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform alterations on men’s suits, shirts, coats, blazers, and trousers including sleeve shortening/lengthening, tapering, collar adjustments, and trouser waist/length/thigh/foot width modifications.
• Accurately mark garments and ensure all alterations meet company standards for fit and finish.
• Collaborate with sales associates on sizing and garment recommendations for customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning tailor shop and ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Provide high-level customer service by delivering timely and precise alterations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in garment alterations, preferably in men’s tailoring or formalwear.
• Proficiency in sewing techniques and use of tailoring equipment and machines.
• Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and color perception.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple alterations efficiently.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, professional appearance, and ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
