Summary

Provide expert tailoring and fitting services to customers, ensuring garments are measured, fitted, and altered to Nordstrom standards while delivering professional and friendly customer service. Operate sewing and pressing machinery and use store technology to manage alteration requests. Meet productivity goals and support the Alterations and Store Team through collaboration and fit education.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and fit garments for alterations
• Perform and complete customer fittings and sewing alterations on time
• Mark areas requiring alterations and follow Nordstrom service standards
• Meet department and individual productivity goals
• Utilize store technology to manage and organize alteration needs
• Collaborate with the Alterations and Store Team to deliver customer expectations
• Educate customers and employees on proper fit, style, construction, and trends

Requirements

• Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience, preferred minimum of 2-3 years
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment
• Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs
