Temporary Operations Associate - Highland Park

Summary

The Temporary Operations Associate is responsible for maintaining store inventory and stock areas according to company standards, minimizing stock loss, processing shipping and receiving accurately, and supporting store housekeeping and merchandising tasks. The role involves handling inbound freight, returns, transfers and damages while complying with inventory control procedures and communicating with distribution or corporate inventory teams. This temporary position requires flexibility to work varied hours including nights weekends and holidays and physical ability for lifting and moving merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Process shipping and receiving functions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain orderly neat stock and receiving areas and general store maintenance
• Process inbound freight returns to vendors chargebacks transfers and damages per policy
• Support compliance with receiving practices safekeeping of funds property and record keeping
• Participate in inventory and cycle counts
• Assist with floor moves merchandising display maintenance and housekeeping
• Complete price changes and assist with packing or wrapping customer purchases when needed
• Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control as required
• Perform other tasks assigned by management

Requirements

• Previous retail stock shipping and receiving experience
• Ability to handle receiving operations and merchandise appropriately
• Strong interpersonal communication organization and follow through skills
• Ability to read count and write to complete documentation accurately
• Proficiency with inventory control computer systems phone systems and sensor tag remover
• Ability to adjust priorities in a fast paced environment
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move handle boxes and fixtures including heavy lifting
• Availability to work varied hours days nights weekends and holidays
