Zipper Sewer

Summary

Operate a zipper sewing machine to sew zippers into product borders, maintain equipment, and ensure stitch quality while supporting production goals. Perform machine setup and basic maintenance and work collaboratively within the manufacturing team to uphold brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Sew zippers into borders using a zipper sewing machine
• Control machine operation with foot pedal and observe stitching for defects
• Select sewing supplies and set up machine according to specifications
• Cut excess thread or material and oil machine as needed
• Maintain equipment and work area in an orderly manner
• Notify supervisor of machine malfunctions or production issues
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality

Requirements

• 1+ years experience in a similar field
• Ability to operate and control sewing machinery
• Detail oriented with commitment to brand integrity
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Good communication skills with associates and supervisors
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and accept direction
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds and meet physical requirements
