Summary

The Alterations Tailor at the Beverly Hills flagship produces high-quality tailored merchandise for womenswear and menswear, delivering expert alterations within established timeframes. The role supports VIP tailoring and the closing of sales while working closely with the Store Director and retail team to provide exceptional client service and maintain customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide the tailoring client experience for both womenswear and menswear, responding to client needs and representing the Saint Laurent brand.
• Perform VIP tailoring services and support closing of sales at point of service.
• Conduct garment fittings, interpret alteration tags and marks, and advise on fit and construction.
• Draw and cut patterns as needed and alter garments to specifications.
• Examine and repair garments, completing both minor and major alterations to brand standards.
• Provide accurate lead times and cost estimates and organize workload to complete items on time.

Requirements

• Luxury retail experience required.
• Proficiency in operating all tailor shop equipment.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, fittings, and alteration marks.
• Demonstrated ability to perform high-quality fittings and alterations for a luxury clientele.
• Excellent client service skills and the ability to manage timelines and priorities.
