Job Description

Summary

The Analyst will support the Director in new product development and management of the Icons category portfolio. This role involves facilitating new product development, establishing unit pricing to achieve gross margin objectives, and defining the baseline assortment strategy for worldwide retail locations. The Analyst will also be responsible for creating, updating, and communicating monthly reports and performing ad hoc analyses.

Responsibilities
  • Own the creation and maintenance of product plans throughout various stages of development, ensuring accuracy of item detail.
  • Ensure critical SKU level details within category architectures are systematically maintained and project milestones are met on a timely basis.
  • Research product offerings to aid with the initiation of new product development to ensure the product strategy remains robust and competitive.
  • Analyze classification, price point, and sales trends as well as review the competitive market to inform decisions on new product introductions.
  • Support with execution and implementation of margin reviews and pricing structure strategies to ensure margin requirements are met.
  • Support team in efforts to conduct analysis and gather comparable product information to inform retail, cost, and margin targets.
  • Support Manager with model pricing scenarios for optimization, validating pricing based on sales volume and margin drivers.
  • Support with delivery and implementation of formal Lifecycle Planning reviews to achieve style count and productivity targets.
  • Support the development of reports and presentations that communicate a high-level view of new product introductions and current assortment.
  • Participate in competitive shopping visits to support key initiative information gathering and research.
  • Maintain and distribute architectures, image grids, weekly/monthly sales dashboards, and competitive landscape reporting.
  • Coordinate weekly and monthly distribution and other reporting for Category Management teams.
  • Support communication efforts with internal cross-functional teams to address and support key initiatives and category assortments.
  • Aid Director in fielding branch inquiries and offering appropriate suggestions in a timely manner.
  • Aid with sample management in conjunction with Inventory Control team.
  • Assist in preparation of product category reviews and conference meeting materials.
  • Handle ad-hoc pricing needs such as determining retail replacement values for products based on current market values.
Requirements
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets using Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new software.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Strategic, full circle thinking.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
