Art Advisor

As an Art Advisor at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, you will be a key player in driving sales and providing exceptional customer service by leveraging your expertise in art. You will be responsible for educating both clients and associates about the Saks Fifth Avenue Art Collection, while building and maintaining strong client relationships.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of the current art collection to effectively communicate artistic concepts to clients and associates.
• Build familiarity with current collections around NYC and other galleries to assist the team and inform customers.
• Identify yourself as a resource for questions about the collection and artists.
• Create a welcoming and engaging experience for all clients.
• Consistently meet and exceed sales plans.
• Establish and develop a clientele base.
• Collaborate with Saks Leadership and corporate partners to maximize sales opportunities through consultative selling and clienteling.
• Perform ad hoc responsibilities as needed.

• A background in or current study of Art History.
• Associate's degree and one year of experience, or a combination of experience and education.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to speak confidently about the collection.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and utilize resources to accomplish goals.
