Asset Protection Detective - South Coast Plaza

Summary

Responsible for protecting company assets and reducing loss through observation, investigation, and enforcement at the South Coast Plaza location. Works with store teams and law enforcement to deter theft and ensure a safe shopping environment. Conducts regular patrols and monitors CCTV and other security systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patrols of sales floor, stock room, and perimeter areas
• Monitor surveillance systems and report suspicious activity
• Investigate incidents of theft, fraud, and loss
• Apprehend or detain shoplifters following company procedures
• Prepare detailed incident and investigation reports
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders
• Provide testimony in civil or criminal proceedings as required

Requirements

• Prior experience in loss prevention, asset protection, or security preferred
• Familiarity with surveillance technology and reporting procedures
• Ability to work standing and walking shifts and respond quickly to incidents
• Strong observational and communication skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
