Assistant Boutique Manager

Summary

The Assistant Boutique Manager supports the Boutique Director in daily management of the sales team and boutique operations to deliver exceptional customer service and commercial results. The role focuses on driving sales performance, developing clientele, coaching and training sales associates, and ensuring merchandising and inventory standards are met. The Assistant Manager also oversees opening and closing procedures and enforces company policies and security.

Responsibilities

• Support the Boutique Director in managing daily store operations and sales team performance.
• Maximize sales, monitor conversion rates, and develop client databases and clientele development strategies.
• Coach, train, schedule, and evaluate Sales Associates; lead regular store meetings and sales training.
• Participate in merchandise presentation, visual displays, pricing, transfers, returns and inventory counts.
• Open and close the boutique and ensure compliance with cash handling, security, and company procedures.
• Coordinate sales promotions, events and in-store marketing activities.
• Address operational issues to maintain service, efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

• 5+ years of retail experience required, with at least 1 year of management experience in a luxury product setting.
• Strong customer service, commercial sensibility, and fashion awareness.
• Proven ability to train and develop associates and manage sales performance.
• Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends and holidays and to open/close the store as needed.
• Proficient with POS systems and other store equipment; able to maintain presence on the selling floor for extended periods.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
