Summary
The Assistant Manager partners with the Managing Director and Floor Director to run daily store operations, drive sales, develop clients, coach and supervise sales staff, and ensure compliance with company policies in a luxury retail flagship environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coach sales staff to achieve sales objectives
- Demonstrate management presence on the sales floor and model exceptional service
- Identify sales opportunities and track deliveries and special orders
- Conduct touch base meetings and participate in performance evaluations
- Communicate CRM standards and monitor associate compliance
- Manage scheduling, timekeeping and vacation records with HR
- Organize seasonal trainings and product updates for the sales team
- Assist in recruiting and interviewing candidates to fill store positions
- Make critical client and operational decisions in leadership absence
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of retail management experience
- Prior luxury retail experience preferred
- Proficiency in Excel Word Cegid and E-time
- Ability to learn POS payroll and merchandise systems and troubleshoot
- Ability to interpret sales data and make business recommendations
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift 0-25 lbs without assistance
- Flexible availability to meet business needs
