Assistant Manager, Men's Universe - Maison Madison

Summary

The Assistant Manager, Men's Universe partners with the Floor Director to run all aspects of the Maison Madison men’s business, driving sales, client development and service initiatives. This role supervises and coaches sales staff, supports merchandising and inventory management, and steps in to lead the boutique in the absence of senior leadership. The position requires strong operational oversight and a presence on the sales floor to ensure exceptional client experiences.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach and train sales staff to achieve sales objectives and model exceptional service on the sales floor.
• Identify sales opportunities through weekly business reviews by métier; track deliveries and special orders.
• Contribute to and conduct touch-base meetings and annual performance evaluations with leadership.
• Manage CRM standards and associate compliance to maximize client capture and quality of client information.
• Ensure policies and procedures are communicated and followed; monitor E-time, scheduling, vacation and attendance records.
• Organize seasonal trainings and product updates to integrate merchandise knowledge into client conversations.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing and maintaining a candidate database; make critical client and store decisions when leadership is absent.

Requirements

• 4+ years of retail management experience; luxury retail experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Cegid and E-time; ability to learn POS and payroll systems.
• Ability to interpret sales data and translate insights into business recommendations.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and strong client service orientation.
• Ability to lift 0-25 lbs without assistance and flexibility in work availability as business needs dictate.
