Summary
The Associate Manager supports the General Manager by helping create and execute strategic store plans to ensure profitable business performance, maintaining brand standards, developing talent, and acting as a key decision maker in the GM's absence.
Responsibilities
- Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and planning store initiatives
- Educate and coach team on sales and profit performance tools
- Create consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
- Assist in building store client development strategy and lead community outreach
- Execute talent strategy and drive recruitment and networking activities
- Provide coaching, feedback and learning opportunities to employees
- Manage store processes including inventory control to achieve shrink goals
- Promote use of new technology and New Ways of Selling techniques
- Ensure sales floor and store standards exceed expectations
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent a plus
- Retail management or similar high-volume specialty experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for multiple hours
- Ability to operate register and work varied schedules including evenings weekends and occasional travel
- Proven track record of building and maintaining positive working relationships
- Business acumen with strong planning and time management skills
