Summary
The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in creating and executing strategic store plans to ensure profitable business and uphold brand standards. This role assists in talent development, community outreach, inventory control, and drives store execution to deliver a consistent customer experience aligned to company values.
Responsibilities
- Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and strategic planning for the store
- Educate and coach team on sales and profit performance tools
- Create and maintain a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
- Assist in creating client development strategy and lead market community outreach
- Execute talent strategy and drive recruitment and networking activities
- Provide coaching, feedback and development opportunities to employees
- Manage store processes including inventory control to achieve shrink goals
- Champion new technology and selling techniques to drive business results
- Ensure sales floor and store standards exceed expectations
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent a plus
- Retail management or similar industry experience in high-volume specialty environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for multiple hours
- Ability to operate register and work across sales floor stock and office areas
- Flexible availability including days evenings weekends and potential travel
- Proven track record of building positive relationships with customers and colleagues
- Business acumen with strong planning prioritization and time management skills
