Summary
The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in strategic planning and execution to ensure a profitable store, acting as a key decision maker in the GM's absence and driving operational excellence, talent development, and brand standards.
Responsibilities
- Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and strategic planning for the store
- Educate team on sales and profit performance tools and resources
- Create and support a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
- Assist in creating client development strategy and lead community outreach
- Execute talent strategy and collaborate on building and developing the store team
- Drive networking and recruitment activities in the market
- Manage store processes including inventory control to achieve shrink goals
- Champion use of new technology to support selling techniques and drive results
- Ensure sales floor and store standards exceed expectations
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent a plus
- Retail management or similar industry experience in a complex, high-volume specialty environment preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and store personnel
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for extended periods
- Ability to operate register and work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Proven track record of building and maintaining positive working relationships
- Strong business acumen and planning and prioritization skills
