Summary
The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in strategic planning and execution to ensure a profitable store while maintaining brand standards. This role assists with talent development, customer experience, inventory control, and operational excellence to drive sales and store performance.
Responsibilities
- Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and developing strategic initiatives for the store
- Educate and coach the team on sales and profit performance tools and resources
- Create and maintain a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
- Assist in creating client development strategies and lead community outreach activities
- Execute talent strategy, recruit and develop store team members
- Manage store processes and execution to maintain productivity and control inventory shrink
- Champion new technology and selling techniques to drive business results
- Provide feedback to leadership on high profit opportunities and category trends
- Ensure sales floor and store standards consistently exceed expectations
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent a plus
- Retail management or similar industry experience in a high-volume specialty environment preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and store personnel
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for multiple hours
- Ability to operate register and work flexible schedule including evenings weekends and possible travel
- Proven track record of building and maintaining positive working relationships
- Business acumen and strong planning and prioritization skills
