Associate Manager

Summary

The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in creating and executing strategic plans to drive profitable store performance. This role helps lead the store team, optimize operations and talent, and maintain brand standards to deliver a consistent customer experience. The Associate Manager acts as a key decision maker in the GM's absence and champions new selling tools and technology.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager with business analysis and strategic planning for the store market
• Educate and coach the team on sales, profit performance tools and client development strategies
• Create a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations and lead community outreach
• Execute talent strategy, drive recruitment, and provide ongoing development and feedback
• Manage store processes, inventory control and shrink goals; ensure high store standards
• Champion new technology and More Ways to Shop initiatives; report trends to GM and District Director

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent a plus; retail management experience in a high-volume specialty environment preferred
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with customers and store personnel
• Ability to stand, walk and operate the register; lift up to 30 lbs and work on the sales floor and stock areas
• Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends and occasional travel
• Demonstrated track record of building positive customer and team relationships, business acumen and strong planning/time management skills
