The Beauty Counter Manager provides personalized beauty experiences, maximizes sales for an assigned beauty brand, and serves as both salesperson and educator. This role involves in-store and digital selling, vendor event management, and maintaining a customer-ready department while building customer loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses and recommend products based on customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital tools including text and social media
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize results
- Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and open new rewards accounts
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Keep department organized, clean, and customer-ready
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through trainings
Requirements
- Passion for customer service and beauty, including makeup application and skincare
- Excellent ability to connect with customers and handle concerns with empathy and respect
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and interest in networking and technology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours and perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds
