Summary
The Beauty Counter Manager leads sales and customer experiences for an assigned luxury beauty brand within the store, combining expert product knowledge, makeup and skincare services, and coaching to drive personal and counter sales. This role manages vendor events and builds customer loyalty through in-store and digital selling while maintaining a customer-ready department.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses to recommend products aligned with customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital tools including text and social media
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results
- Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and enroll customers in loyalty programs
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Maintain organization and cleanliness to keep the department customer-ready
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through trainings
Requirements
- Passion for customer service and beauty including makeup application and skincare
- Excellent ability to connect with customers and handle customer concerns
- Empathy and respect when providing hands-on services
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and follow-through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and interest in networking and technology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Physical ability to remain active for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Prior experience in commissioned beauty sales preferred
