Summary
The Beauty Counter Manager provides personalized beauty experiences while maximizing sales for an assigned luxury beauty brand at the NYC flagship. This role combines direct selling, makeup and skincare consultations, and team collaboration to drive counter performance and customer loyalty in a commissioned retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses and recommend products based on customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results
- Manage sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and open new rewards accounts
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Maintain department organization and cleanliness to keep customer-ready
- Stay current on beauty trends products and industry knowledge through trainings
- Use networking and technology to build and maintain a customer following
Requirements
- Passion for customer service and beauty including makeup application and skincare
- Excellent ability to connect with customers and handle concerns with empathy
- Strong multitasking organization and follow-through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and interest in using digital selling methods
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership accountability and initiative
- Physical ability to stand and move continuously and to lift up to 25 pounds
- Experience working in a commissioned retail sales environment
