Summary

The Beauty Counter Manager leads sales and customer service for an assigned luxury beauty brand at the NYC flagship. They provide makeup applications, skincare consultations, and personalized product recommendations while driving sales through in-store and digital channels. The role includes managing counter presentation, vendor events, and building customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses to recommend products tailored to customer needs
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools including text and social media
• Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events, promotions, and counter activities
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results
• Handle sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and open new Nordstrom Rewards accounts
• Maintain counter organization, cleanliness, and customer-ready presentation

Requirements

• Passion for beauty, makeup application, skincare, and current industry trends
• Proven ability to connect with customers, handle concerns with empathy, and foster an inclusive environment
• Experience or comfort working in a commissioned sales environment and driving sales through networking and technology
• Strong multitasking, organization, follow-through, and ownership
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
• Physical ability for continuous movement 6-8 hours per shift and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
