The Beauty Counter Manager oversees sales and customer experiences for assigned luxury beauty brands at a retail counter, blending direct selling with product education and vendor coordination. Responsibilities
- Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses to recommend products based on customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools including text and social media
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results
- Manage sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and open customer rewards accounts
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Keep the department organized, clean, and customer-ready
- Stay current on beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings
Requirements
- Passion for beauty, makeup application, and skincare with strong customer service skills
- Excellent ability to connect with customers and handle customer concerns empathetically
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and willingness to use networking and technology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift and perform physical tasks such as bending and reaching
- Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
