Summary

The Beauty Counter Manager creates personalized beauty experiences and maximizes sales for an assigned luxury brand at a retail beauty counter. This role combines selling and teaching through makeup applications, skincare consultations, and digital engagement while overseeing counter operations. The manager coordinates vendor events, scheduling, and vendor relationships to drive business results and maintain a customer-ready environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses, recommending products based on customer beauty goals
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools, including text and social media
• Manage scheduling, execution of vendor events and promotions, and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Handle sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and open Nordstrom Rewards accounts to build customer loyalty
• Maintain counter organization, cleanliness, and presentation to ensure a customer-ready department
• Collaborate with and train team members to share product knowledge and create an inclusive customer environment

Requirements

• Passion for beauty, trends, makeup application, and skincare with strong customer connection skills
• Drive to achieve sales goals and comfort working in a commissioned sales environment
• Strong multitasking, organization, follow-through, and a high level of ownership and accountability
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends
• Physical ability to move continuously for 6-8 hours per shift, perform frequent bending/reaching, and lift up to 25 pounds
