Beauty Sales - La Jolla University Town Center

Summary

Provide personalized makeup and skincare consultations and drive sales for luxury beauty brands through both in-store and digital selling. Engage customers to understand their needs, perform makeup applications and skincare analyses, and build loyalty through appointments and Rewards enrollment. Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a customer-ready department and stay current on product and brand knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customer beauty goals
• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using tools such as text and social media
• Book appointments and drive sales for in-store beauty events and services
• Manage sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and open Nordstrom Rewards accounts to build customer loyalty
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers
• Keep the department organized, clean, and customer-ready
• Participate in trainings provided by Nordstrom and brand partners to maintain product and industry knowledge

Requirements

• Passion for beauty, including makeup application, skincare, and current trends
• Excellent ability to connect with customers, handle concerns proactively, and provide empathetic service
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills
• Drive to meet sales goals and interest in using networking and technology for selling
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Physical ability to be on your feet and move continuously for 6-8 hours, perform frequent bending and reaching, and lift up to 25 pounds
