Buyer - Women's Designer Shoes

Summary

The Buyer drives sales and profitability across stores and online for an assigned merchandise category. This role curates a differentiated assortment, manages vendor relationships, and develops strategies to meet sales, margin, and inventory goals. The Buyer also leads and develops their team.

Responsibilities

• Set the product category vision and respond to in-season performance by determining quantities, styles, and reorders.
• Plan and manage inventory, including the Rolling Operating Forecast, to maximize profit and optimize sales and margin.
• Recommend brand and classification strategies and present style-outs to the DMM.
• Negotiate vendor return and markdown allowances and reconcile projected point-of-sale results and hardmarks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Strong communication, presentation, leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and think creatively, strategically, and technically.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and flexibility to work a schedule based on department and company needs.
