Overview
Our client, a landmark NYC multibrand destination, is seeking a Chanel Business Manager to lead its Watches and Fine Jewelry business. This full-time leadership role owns sales performance, client experience, and day-to-day operations for the watch and fine jewelry category within a high-touch luxury setting. It is an excellent opportunity for a retail leader with strong commercial instincts, team leadership experience, and genuine fluency in high-value timepieces and jewelry.
Responsibilities
Lead the Watches and Fine Jewelry business with full accountability for sales performance, client experience, and operational execution.
Drive business growth by setting goals, monitoring key performance indicators, and identifying opportunities to increase productivity and category market share.
Deliver an elevated in-store experience that reflects the standards of a luxury retail environment and builds long-term relationships with a high-net-worth clientele.
Manage, coach, and develop the selling team on product knowledge, storytelling, and closing high-value transactions.
Partner with brand and store leadership on assortment, replenishment, trunk shows, and high-jewelry or timepiece client events.
Oversee daily floor leadership, ensuring strong execution in service, presentation, and team engagement.
Maintain a deep understanding of the watch and fine jewelry assortment, category performance, and individual client preferences.
Own the operational disciplines specific to high-value inventory, including cycle counts, transfers, repair and service intake, and consignment or memo tracking.
Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and the heightened security standards appropriate to a fine jewelry environment.
Requirements
Previous management experience in luxury retail, ideally within watches, fine jewelry, high jewelry, or a comparable high-value product category.
Proven ability to drive sales results and lead a business with clear ownership of performance metrics.
Strong clienteling skills and a demonstrated track record building lasting relationships with high-net-worth clients.
Demonstrated success leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing sales team.
Comfort with the ceremony of a high-value sale — appointment selling, discretion, and multi-touch closing cycles.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and sound judgment in managing both client experience and high-value inventory standards.
Availability to work on-site in New York, NY, including weekends, evenings, and peak retail periods as needed.
