Overview
Our client, a landmark NYC multibrand destination, is seeking a Chanel Business Manager to lead its Women's Ready-to-Wear business. This full-time leadership role owns sales performance, client experience, and day-to-day operations for the women's RTW category within a high-touch luxury setting. It is an excellent opportunity for a retail leader with strong commercial instincts, team leadership experience, and a genuine point of view on luxury ready-to-wear.
Responsibilities
Lead the Women's Ready-to-Wear business with full accountability for sales performance, client experience, and operational execution.
Drive business growth by setting goals, monitoring key performance indicators, and identifying opportunities to increase productivity and category market share.
Deliver an elevated in-store experience that reflects the standards of a luxury retail environment and builds long-term client relationships.
Manage, coach, and develop the selling team on product knowledge, styling, and wardrobing across the seasonal collections.
Partner with brand and store leadership on assortment, seasonal buys, deliveries, in-store activations, and client events.
Oversee daily floor leadership, ensuring strong execution in service, visual presentation, and team engagement.
Maintain a deep understanding of the ready-to-wear assortment, size and category performance, sell-through, and individual client preferences.
Own the operational disciplines specific to a seasonal apparel business, including inventory accuracy, markdowns and transfers, alterations, and special orders.
Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and brand presentation standards.
Requirements
Previous management experience in luxury retail, ideally within women's ready-to-wear or a comparable luxury apparel category.
Proven ability to drive sales results and lead a business with clear ownership of performance metrics.
Strong clienteling skills and experience building lasting relationships with a luxury clientele.
Demonstrated success leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing sales team.
Credible styling and wardrobing instincts, with fluency in seasonal collections and fashion authority.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, service-driven retail environment.
Availability to work on-site in New York, NY, including weekends, evenings, and peak retail periods as needed.
